Who Am I?
Hello, I’m Hermann Schmidt. Some people affectionately call me a “Waldschrat,” a term I wholeheartedly embrace as it reflects my deep connection with the forest and nature. Born in 1966, I took a bold step in my forties: I reshaped my life to make my passion for nature my profession. I’m a proud father of a wonderful daughter and live by the motto: “If you can see nature, and perhaps even yourself, in a new light after a day outdoors, then it was a successful day.”

- As a state-certified Forest Educator, I introduce people to the magic of the forest.
- As a state-certified Star Guide, I open eyes to the wonders of the sky.
- With my training in Education for Sustainable Development, I advocate for a better future.
- I lead a special pilot project for individuals with dementia, harnessing the power of nature.
